Reset Sage 50 password

Note: Passwords for each user are company specific. Changing the password in one company will not change it for all the companies to which that user has access to. If the user has access to multiple companies the password will need to be changed in each company.

• Login to your Sage 50 company as the administrator
• Select Maintain, Users, and then select Set Up Security.

• Login to your Sage 50 company as the administrator,
• Select Maintain, Users, and then select Set Up Security.

Note: This is a single-user task, all other users must exit the company before you will be able to reset user passwords.

• Select the user from the list.
• Click Reset Password.
• Enter a temporary password for the user in both fields.
• Click OK.
• Click Close.
• Have the user login with the temporary password.
• Click OK to change your password.
• In the Old password field enter the temporary password.
• Enter a new password in New password and Confirm new password.
• Click OK.
• Verify the company opens successfully.

Note: This is a single-user task, all other users must exit the company before you will be able to reset user passwords.
